Our Roots
Founded in a rich history of love for the ocean and the growth of our great nation, GSL is committed to the future. More than a century ago, our co-founders’ families operated one of the largest ocean fleets of Yankee Clippers as well as one of the largest private Great Lakes commercial fleets. This passion for innovation and growth has been imbedded for generations and has culminated in the mission of Green Shipping Line and our goal of transforming transportation in America.
