Green Shipping Line (GSL) was born from long family histories of American patriotism and the desire to solve our country’s infrastructure crisis by reintroducing the concept of transporting containerized freight via the American Marine Highway and ensuring full use of the marine transportation network in the U.S.
Our Purpose
Mission
Green Shipping Line’s (GSL) mission is to be the leading provider of modern marine transportation in the United States. GSL is poised to build a fleet of state of the art vessels that will provide environmentally friendly marine transport of goods on the American Marine Highway. Our enterprise will create thousands of new jobs within the United States, while helping to solve our country’s infrastructure crisis.
Problem
The U.S. is experiencing a severe “Infrastructure Crisis” due to the drastic increase in population and volume of shipped goods/trucks on the road. This is causing rapidly increasing infrastructure deterioration, gridlock, and pollution that will affect every aspect of American daily life. Experts call this a "Domestic Gridlock Heart Attack" as roads will soon be so congested they will suffer a collapse resembling a heart attack.
Solution
Green Shipping Line is revolutionizing the status quo by reintroducing the concept of transporting containerized freight via the American Marine Highway—a network of 25,000 miles of navigable U.S. waterways (coasts, rivers, and lakes)—to create jobs, alleviate gridlock, and reduce pollution.
